The ideal candidate will develop new business relationships, maintain existing accounts, and increase revenue by providing portable restroom and site service solutions to contractors, municipalities, special events, and industrial clients.A company vehicle is provided for customer visits and territory management.Compensation

Commission Plan Example

• Prospect and generate new business through cold calling, networking, job site visits, and referrals. 
• Build relationships with construction companies, general contractors, industrial facilities, municipalities, and event organizers. 
• Prepare and present pricing proposals and service agreements. 
• Conduct site visits to determine customer needs. 
• Coordinate with operations and dispatch to ensure excellent customer service. 
• Maintain customer information in the CRM. 
• Meet or exceed monthly sales goals. 
• Follow up on leads and maintain long-term customer relationships. 
• Stay informed on competitors and market conditions. 

Qualifications

• Previous sales experience required. 
• Portable restroom, waste management, temporary fencing, or construction industry experience strongly preferred. 
• Strong communication and negotiation skills. 
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently. 
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. 
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM software. 
• Ability to travel throughout assigned territory.

Additional duties include:

• Load and unload construction materials.
• Prepare job sites for paving operations.
• Remove debris and perform final site cleanup.
• Chop asphalt edges.
• Remove, fill, grade, and compact soil as necessary.
• Inspect equipment daily and ensure tools are cleaned, maintained, and stored properly.
• Assist crew members with manual labor as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid California Driver License with an acceptable driving record.
• OSHA 10 Certification required.
• Current First Aid/CPR Certification required.
• Minimum 6 months of experience as an Operator III.
• Minimum 6 months of asphalt paving experience with Burtch Construction or equivalent experience operating all asphalt paving equipment proficiently.
• Thorough knowledge of paving operations, construction methods, equipment, and OSHA safety standards.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Reporting to the foreman, the Paver-Screed Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the paving
machine and/or screed used for applying asphalt to roads and parking lots. Paver-Screed Operators will perform many of
the following tasks:
• Follow all health and safety regulations, including wearing personal protective equipment
• Follow and complete all tasks requested by the foreman or more experienced coworker
• Operate the paver and/or screed and other heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner
• Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment
• Operate shovel, broom, ax, rake, hacksaw, jackhammer, picks, chop saw, vibrating plates, torch, and rotary
hammer
• Chop asphalt edges
• Must be attentive to equipment sights and sounds on the jobsite
• Operate asphalt paver and/or screed to apply asphalt per plans and quality specifications as instructed by the
foreman to ensure daily schedules/estimates are met
• Take direction from the Roller Operator and/or Asphalt Rakers regarding depth requirements
• Screed operation on the asphalt paver involves making normal adjustments for obtaining proper depth, grade and
finished cross section of asphalt material via screed controls
• Ability to guide and direct dump trucks while backing up to the machine hopper when operating paver
• Manipulates hand or foot levers to control movements of machine spreads and levels asphalt on subgrade of
roadway and related surfaces such as parking lots
• Thorough understanding of all aspects of the paving industry including preparatory work, grades, drainage, paving
patterns, aggregate size, job specifications, oil consistencies, compaction and other details related to asphalt paving
• Train new employees in the safe and efficient operation of the paver and/or screed
• Operate other heavy equipment and other construction related duties as required or instructed by the foreman.

Construction Laborer Requirements and Qualifications:
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must have a valid California driver’s license
• Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks
• Ability to work in all weather
• Ability to work overtime, including weekends
