This role is ideal for a detail-oriented construction professional who can successfully manage both pre-construction estimating and on-site project execution.

Job Summary
The Construction Superintendent & Estimator will play a dual-role position responsible for both estimating upcoming projects and overseeing field operations during construction. This individual will manage the bidding process, coordinate subcontractors, maintain project schedules and budgets, and ensure high-quality workmanship from start to finish.

Estimating & Pre-Construction Responsibilities
•    Perform accurate material take-offs and labor estimates for residential and commercial projects
•    Solicit, review, and analyze subcontractor bids for pricing and scope accuracy
•    Develop detailed project budgets and assist with client proposals
•    Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions without sacrificing quality
•    Review architectural and structural plans to prepare accurate project estimates

Supervision & Field Operations Responsibilities
•    Manage daily job site operations and maintain project schedules and budgets
•    Supervise direct employees and subcontractors while enforcing safety standards
•    Coordinate inspections, material deliveries, and workflow scheduling
•    Ensure projects meet local building codes and company quality standards
•    Maintain communication with clients, vendors, and project stakeholders throughout construction

Qualifications
•    Minimum 5 years of construction industry experience
•    At least 2 years in estimating, supervision, or project management roles
•    Strong ability to read and interpret architectural and structural plans
•    Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Excel required
•    Familiarity with Kern County permitting and local subcontractor market preferred
•    Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required

•    Experience with commercial construction and tenant improvements
•    Experience with custom residential construction
•    Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
•    Experience managing small, high-efficiency teams

Job Description:We are currently seeking a Construction Crewman to join our team in Bakersfield. This position involves performing general construction and remodeling work, assisting with repairs, and supporting the crew in maintaining safe and organized job sites.The ideal candidate will have hands-on construction experience, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform general construction and remodeling work
• Assist with repairs including fascia, siding, trim, and deck work
• Support remodeling tasks such as roofing, cement work, and painting
• Maintain a clean and safe job site
• Follow safety procedures and company standards
• Work collaboratively with team members to complete projects efficiently

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older
• Minimum 2 years of construction or handyman experience
• Fluent in English
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
• Ability to work on ladders up to 6 feet above the ground
• Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently or as part of a team

Schedule

• Monday – Friday
• 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• 40 hours per week
• Occasional overtime and Saturdays may be required
