Job Position: Instrumentation Tech
Location: Trona, CA 93562
Pay Rate: $42.17/hr
Shift: Rotating, 4/10's
Description:
JOB SUMMARY:
The IE&C Instrumentation & Control Journeyman position provides support to the Instrumentation & Electrical Department in maintaining, installing and testing SVM plant equipment. This position helps to ensure the overall success of the I&E Department by applying craft knowledge in a professional manner and to maintain a high level of safety. Guidance may be given from senior technicians or supervisors on more technical assignments.
KEY ACCOUNTABILTIES:
1. Perform the installation, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of both pneumatic and electric instrumentation equipment.
2. Read and understand drawings such as P&ID s, control loop diagrams, and electrical schematics.
3. Install instrument tubing and conduit or raceways according to approved methods.
4. Perform preventative maintenance independently.
5. Proficient in instrumentation troubleshooting, calibration techniques for transmitters, actuators, process analyzers, fire & gas detectors, pneumatic and electronic control valves, remote telemetry devices, pneumatic and hydraulic circuits.
6. Be responsible for adhering to SSHE policies, procedures and programs, regulations and company directives, and actively participate in preventing unsafe acts.
Understand the primary SSHE hazards and risks in the work area and the safeguards in place to manage those hazards and risks.
Maintain an awareness of SSHE requirements for specific work areas.
Immediately report all SSHE issues to a supervisor.
Know where to find and provide requested information during SSHE internal and external audits
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED
NCCER Training
Technical Trade School completion
3-5 years minimum of relative, qualified experience
Effective communication, both in writing and orally
Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
***MUST be willing to relocate. Position is located in Trona, CA. Ridgecrest is very affordable, compared to larger cities, in CA! Less than a 30 minute drive to Trona. Ridgecrest has many amenities to serve your needs!
