Position Title: Well Puller A/B Department: Well Services
Location: Taft, CA 93268
Pay Rate: $24.75/hr.
Reports to: HWP/Rig Supervisor of Well Services
FLSA Cat: Non-Exempt
Job Location: Taft, CA
Time: 6: 00AM-3: 30PM Monday-Friday, hours may vary
Position summary: Well servicing workers such as derrick and work floor operators performing duties of lesser skill, these duties include:
Tasks:
Drive equipment to transport crew, materials, equipment, and parts to well sites.
At the work site, participates in safety walk-around, identifying, and documenting hazards or anomalies via a Job Safety Assessment (JSA) prior to commencement of work. If assigned job continues into another workday, participates in walk-around, reviewing JSA and updating as necessary, prior to commencement of work.
Organize materials to prepare for daily tasks.
Clean-up work areas and remove debris after well servicing activities are complete.
Unload materials, devices and parts using hand tools.
Move pipes to and from trucks, using truck winches and motorized lifts, or by hand.
Unscrew or tighten pipes, casing, tubing, and rods, using hand tools, power wrenches and tongs.
Dig drainage ditches around wells and storage tanks.
Maintain and repair customer well equipment, using hand tools and power tools.
Maintain, service, and repair well servicing equipment (tongs, slips, etc.).
Conduct daily inspections on fluid levels and equipment conditions on company well servicing equipment.
Performs position related tasks as assigned.
Skills:
Active Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
Equipment Maintenance - Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
Repairing Make simple repairs on equipment, machinery or systems using the proper tools.
Coordination - Adjusting actions in relation to others' actions.
Operation Monitoring - Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure equipment operating properly.
Troubleshooting - Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.
Attributes:
Control Precision - The ability to adjust the controls of a machine or a vehicle quickly and repeatedly to exact positions.
Multi-limb Coordination - The ability to coordinate two or more limbs (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while sitting, standing, or lying down. It does not involve performing the activities while the whole body is in motion.
Near Vision - The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
Arm-Hand Steadiness - The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position.
Manual Dexterity - The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.

Experience and Education:
High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) - preferred
Other prerequisites:
Must possess a valid California Class C Vehicle Operator s License or equivalent if moving into California within 30 days of hire
Physical Requirements:
Able to stand for extended periods (up to two-(2) hours) without relief
Able to bend, stoop, crouch, squat, kneel, reach, turn and twist body throughout the workday on frequent basis
Able to push and pull weights of up to 250 lbs. With the assistance of a co-worker and/or mechanical device
Able to perform throughout the workday, Heavy Lifting (75lbs or more) on a frequent basis;Moderate Lifting (25lbs to 75lbs) on a continuous basis;and occasionally, with assistance lift more than 100+ lbs
