Job Position: Class A Driver / CDL
Location: Taft, CA 93268
Pay Rate: $23 to $28 an hour depending on experience.
Shift: 8 hrs. Plus OT (Must be open to work overtime.
Description:
Class A Drivers
Tasks:
Safety: Actively participates in Safety programs, safety meetings, hazard identification/mitigation, the JSA process, BBS, Near miss and SWA programs. Takes ownership and leads by example in all assigned activities
Equipment Maintenance and Operation:
Communication and reporting:
Keeps supervisor informed on all actions and seek advice on major issues
Completes daily/monthly equipment and vehicle inspections
Mapping out Success: Utilizes Mapping Out Success book and performs Pre and Post trip inspections daily if applicable.
Leadership and Cooperation: Assists crew including in pre-job prep, on site operations, site safety, mobilization, and de-mobilization of equipment
Vigilant Vehicle Operations: Operate company vehicles requiring a valid class A California Drivers License.

Class A Drivers
Tasks:

Equipment Maintenance and Operation:
Responsible for maintenance, safe and efficient operation of the Bulk/Vac Truck including hard lines, hoses, pressure relief valves and compressor equipment.
Ensures all equipment is properly stowed before driving
Investigates problems and undertakes remedial actions when practicable or immediately informs supervisor.
Performs minor work repair on Bulk/Vac Truck and associated equipment where and when practicable, with air/hand tools
Operates compressor and valves to ensure safe and smooth systems operations for the delivery of dry bulk product to the cement pump truck and or water to cement pump truck
Proper loading and unloading of Bulk/Vac truck with proper amount of product/water as directed by supervisor.
Valid class A California Drivers License Required.
Performs other position related duties as assigned
Cement Experience is a PLUS
